It's good, very good!

Alright, I was browsing your profile and I just had to write a review. Not really to talk about this particular song which is very good. I basically don't understand how all your songs are getting low scores like this. I have a feeling you've got one or several people on your tail just downing you to hell. Is it because of the success you got with Forever Gamer? Jealous people everywhere. Who knows.
It's a good thing you still get a lot more listens than the average person here though, no matter the score. In the end, it's all about the reviews, not the "Current Score" to the left of the screen. So yeah, don't think you suck or anything, you're very talented.

SkyMarshall responds:

Thanks for the 10 and the great feedback here. About the low scores, I dont know - maybe I've pissed somebody off somwhow or something. Dont really know what I have done to do so, but hey - what can I do about it. My guess is that perhaps "Forever Gamer" got a little to popular for a while - and someone with zero ability in making music felt the need to tear down the score to progress in the charts themselves. See that happen a lot in here.

But then again - who the hell cares! Honest feedback and scores from guys and girls like you are the only thing that make an impact on me. So maybe thats a solution in the AP - to remove the voting alltoghether - and base the score on the once-an-account review score. I dont know ...

But thanks for the support man =)
Motivation enough to squeeze out another track here!

Awesome.

I'll have to check more of your tracks. I loved Oasis. Actually, those drums remind me a bit of it! The thing with Ambient stuff, especially long ones, is to listen to them while surfing the net or doing something else. I'm pretty sure a lot of people just sit in front of the screen and get discouraged by the long length.

Anyways, I won't dissect the whole song (I'm way under your level to do that), but I can tell you that I'm imagining myself being in an abandoned space station that's been there for thousand years, with some weird advanced technology. And for some reason I'm also imagining some lush forests or at least vegetation that has taken over the station.

Ahhh, so good :)

Well well Nemesis, that's simply awesome. I know some people must already have told you, but the start reminds me of Kingdom Hearts. Of course it's not the case for the rest of the song which really surprised me in a good way! It's super epic. You've got real talent! The guitar+trumpet combo is nice, the drums are great.
PS: I just learned that you're a girl! Not like it changes anything really. ;P

Hi!

Yes, many people so far have said that! I blame the Xylophones lol. XD
I'm really glad you liked it!

and lol :P

Sweet!

I'm giving this a 10 and 5/5 to counter the obvious zero-bombing this is getting, without much surprise. Hopefully people understand this was simply an upload to let us sing over it. I'm not sure I'll try that though, I'm not here to destroy everyone's ears. :P

Reachground responds:

Your singing might be bad but your music skills are genius. You're the only audio-favorite I have at the moment. "It's bubble time" was on repeat for a week :)

Thanks for the counter-attack!

Veeeerry good

This is really good. When it starts going at 1:27, it's awesome. I love the bass with the drums together. It doesn't really remind me of an oasis though. When I hear this, I picture a sort of steampunk metallic city. It also reminds me of Starcraft for some reason.

Great job SSB.

Grows on you

I'm giving it a 10 to support you and counter the ridiculous people rating it below 5. I gotta admit I found it pretty repetitive and boring at first, but I found myself listening to it more and more. It really grows on you even if it's really simple (which was probably intentional). Easy to drift to.

Nav responds:

Haha, another person who understands the idea behind this song! Thanks! :)

Awesome!

Really nailed the underwater feel, I'm not sure I can find anything wrong here. Nice progression, good background loop, nice bassline and harp.

Good job!

Thank you. After listening to it for such a long time, I feel some of the sounds could be changed to feel more real, but other than that I'm pretty happy with it.

Pretty good!

Always loved this song in FFX. I'd probably make the first 15 seconds or so a bit louder, and that synth that comes in at 0:17 sounds really basic and out of place with the other good instruments like the piano and those background bells. The rest is great!

SkatingIsGenetic responds:

I will try my best to make it sound better!

Thanks so much for the review!

Good!

It reminds me of the Chicago theme in Shadow Hearts 3 (Garland Office).

SSM-NW responds:

I have no idea what Shadow Hearts 3 is (video game?), but I'll take the compliment graciously. Thanks.

Awesome

Man I love this. What did you use to get those 8-bit sounds? Love the melody (especially the last half), it could really be used in an oldschool NES game.
